HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS

Enjoy Horsemanship Camp at
Blue Ribbon Riding Academy

Blue Ribbon Riding Academy offers summer camps to young children that are passionate about riding horses. We teach them how to act around horses, how to approach them, how to take care of them, and how to ride them. If your child shows enjoyment around horses and would like to learn more about them, email us at blueribbonridingacademy@aol.com for more information on how to sign up. Blue Ribbon Riding Academy also offers Holiday Camps, Spring Break Camps and Advanced Camps. Dates will be posted once they are firmed up each year.

Rest assured, all of our staff is certified in CPR and First Aid, so your child will be in good hands.

What You Should Bring to Camp

Safety is always top of mind at camp and for this reason we want to prepare you for what each camper will need to bring. Shorts and tennis shoes are good for activities like horse management and arts and crafts. Please do not send your child in any type of open-toe shoe. If a child is sent to camp in an open toe shoe they will not be able to participate in any of the barn-type activities such as riding, bathing, or grooming horses. If a child does not have jeans or long pants and the proper footwear then they will not be allowed to ride.
  • Long pants, comfortable shirt and protective foot wear such as boots
  • Pair of shorts, extra T-shirt and socks
  • Tennis shoes (not recommended for riding, but can wear for other activities)
  • NO SANDALS ARE ALLOWED IN THE BARN
  • ASTM-SEI approved headgear must be worn while riding. We will provide ASTM-SEI approved headgear for riders needing helmets.
  • Suggested items to bring, but not necessary; sunscreen, bug spray, towel, sun hat and a small stool or folding chair and anything else your child might need to make him/her feel comfortable.
Our objective is to teach your child as much about horses and riding as we can in the week’s time. Safety is foremost. Helmets are required while mounted and proper boots with a heel are required.
