What should my child wear for lessons?
Each rider is advised to wear long pants, a simple boot with a small heel, and weather appropriate clothing. Helmets and tack are provided with the lesson.

What is the cost for lessons?
Please refer to our page titled "Horse Riding Lessons" for additional details. Currently, our private lessons are $50 per hour and group lessons are $35 per hour.

What is the duration of lessons?
Lessons typically are for one hour. This hour includes instruction time as well as ride time.

Who gets the horse ready?
We value safety and all our lessons involve teaching the student how to prepare their horse for riding. Younger students are assisted as needed.

May I come and ride on my own?
No, we do not offer unassisted riding nor trail riding. Horses are not available for rental.

May I rent a horse for the day?
No, we do not offer horse rental.

How do I pay you?
We offer many avenues to pay. You may leave a check on our drop-box at the main barn, pay in a secure online system, or pay with a credit card or debit card also in our secure online payment system. Paypal or Venmo @ blueribbonridingacademy.com

Do I need to stay with my child?
Yes, you must remain with your underage children at all times.

How often should my child take a lesson?
It is recommended that riders take weekly lessons in order to benefit them most.

How old does my child need to be for beginner lessons?
We recommend that your child be at least 6 years old for lessons.

Will the horse be ready to ride when we arrive at the barn?
The horse will be in a stall in the lesson barn. As part of our instruction involves preparing the horse to ride, we do not "prepare" the horse in advance.
